In his program on evolution, Werner Momsen questions whether humans are truly the crown of creation and points out that there are quite a few species that achieve far more with much smaller brains. Evolution is a fascinating spectacle that has been unfolding on Earth for 4.5 billion years, and because it’s a show with plenty of humor, it’s perfect for an entertaining evening.

Evolutionary development never seems to stand still and is constantly moving forward. Except in humans—there, it seems to be moving in the opposite direction. AI is causing brain size to shrink, cell phones are undoing our upright posture, and words are turning back into sounds: “Hey bro, digger, dude, you know…”!

Laugh and learn with Werner Momsen about and from a natural world that produces such amazing things as wombats that poop in cubes, pandas that pee while doing a handstand, and penguins who pay with stones for a quick tryst while working the streets.
