The band members are something like dinosaurs in the history of rock music. A collective of incredibly virtuosic soloists who nevertheless produce a cohesive, compact sound and remain musically innovative in their various lineups. The 1971 double album “Colosseum Live” can still be described today as a gem in the history of rock. The album was recorded at concerts in Manchester and Brighton in March of that year and showcased the band at the height of their career.
In 2026, the “Colossus” will set out once again, much to the delight of countless fans. Under the motto “Out Into The Fields,” the original members—Chris Farlowe, Clem Clempson, and Mark Clarke—will perform in Salzgitter, presenting not only Colosseum classics like “Lost Angeles” and the “Valentyne Suite” but also songs from the new studio album “XI” (Repertoire Records).
Advance tickets are available at www.salzgitter.de/kulturvomamt (opens in a new tab) and through the online ticketing portal Reservix (opens in a new tab). You can learn more about the band on the “Colosseum” website at www.colosseumband.net (opens in a new tab).
Tickets are also available at all major ticket outlets and at the box office. They cost 35 euros in advance (excluding the advance booking fee) and 45 euros at the box office.
The Kulturscheune auditorium will not have assigned seating on the night of the concert. Seating is first-come, first-served. The venue is wheelchair-accessible. People with severe disabilities who have a “B” designation on their disability ID pay the regular price. Their companion receives free admission and does not need a separate ticket.
