Date & time

Sibylle Anderl will present her book at the Kniestedt Church.

About the book: The modern world makes many things easier for us: machines do the physical work, GPS guides us through unfamiliar areas, and now AI is even taking over mental tasks for us. Should we embrace this wholeheartedly? Sibylle Anderl says no. Because in doing so, we lose what makes us human.

Combining psychology, philosophy, and the natural sciences in an engaging way, she argues that we should challenge ourselves. Using numerous examples, she shows why it’s worth seeking out challenges, venturing into the unknown, or resisting temptations. Only in this way can we develop resilience and a sense of self-efficacy and successfully shape our future.
