Event information
Date & time
Between 1937 and 1945, more than 60 residential, work, and prisoner camps operated by the Reichswerke were established in the Salzgitter area. Many of these barracks continued to serve as housing long after the war—for displaced persons and refugees, as well as local residents of Salzgitter.
Whether through your own memories or those passed down to you, documents, or photos—with your support, we want to learn more about the history and daily life in the barracks and share our insights with one another.
Registration is required by November 25, 2026, at the association office. Please explain your personal connection to the topic, if applicable.
