The Good Fairy Antonella appears and gives Pinocchio the chance to become a real boy—but to do so, he must learn how to live. And that’s not so easy! Dangers and temptations lurk everywhere, trying to lead Pinocchio astray. Take, for example, the Cat and the Fox, who pretend to be his best friends but have nothing good in mind. On his journey to becoming a real boy, Pinocchio experiences all sorts of adventures, such as a visit to the theater, planting a golden tree, and even a trip inside a whale. And every time he tells a lie, his nose grows longer. Will he manage to become a real boy in the end?

Based on Carlo Collodi’s story—which is over 150 years old and has already enchanted many generations of children and adults—Christian Berg and Konstantin Wecker have created a musical adaptation that is musically captivating and, in terms of atmosphere, evokes the magic of fairy tales, opera, a circus ring, or even the Italian “alla dolce vita” lifestyle. Great fun for the whole family!

Family musical by Christian Berg with music by Konstantin Wecker for children ages 5 and up (featuring the ensemble of the Theater für Niedersachsen – TfN).
