What is flexo?
flexo is a new public transport bus service in the greater Braunschweig area. With flexo, there are attractive and transfer-free direct connections for Salzgitter-Thiede and Salzgitter-Bad.
flexo is therefore the ideal addition to the existing ÖPNV service and offers added value for everyone. The short walking distances to get on and off the bus, direct connections without transfers and small vehicles with direct contact to the driver create trust and acceptance among parents and children, so that children can be independently mobile at an early age. Senior citizens also benefit from the short distances and barrier-free minibuses.
The flexo transport service in the city of Salzgitter is operated by KVG mbH Braunschweig.

How does Flexo work?
To make flexo quick and easy to reach, more than 200 new flexo stops have been created in addition to the existing bus stops. All places where flexo stops (existing stops and new stops) are called flexo Stops.
To book the service, first check which stop you would like to depart from and when, and what your destination is. You can currently book the service by phone on 0531 7938400 or now also via the app (available free of charge in the app stores for IOS and Android).
What does flexo cost?
In flexo, the conventional VRB fare applies. The ticket is therefore valid for all means of public transport in the respective fare zones during a specific period.
You can purchase the ticket directly from the bus driver or download it with the VRB app "VRB Fahrinfo & Tickets" and thus buy the ticket digitally in advance.
Exceptions:
- The collective student season ticket is only valid from 16:00 on school days.
- The VRB short-distance ticket is not valid.
