Salzgitter

Taster course Afrikaans

The Volkshochschule of the city of Salzgitter still has places available in the two-day taster course "Afrikaans for beginners" on November 15 and 16.

Travel to South Africa and Namibia is very popular with Germans. Afrikaans is the third largest language in South Africa and, as the youngest Germanic language, has a greatly simplified and almost inflection-free grammar. It is closely related to German and relatively easy to learn. There are also many people who speak Afrikaans as their only language. Participants will be able to communicate in Afrikaans with little effort.

In this weekend workshop, participants can prepare themselves linguistically for their next trip to South Africa or Namibia with a South African and also learn a lot of interesting facts about the country and its people. If required, a further language course can be arranged.

Information:

The taster course "Afrikaans for beginners" takes place on Saturday, November 15, from 10 am to 2 pm and on Sunday, November 16, also from 10 am to 2 pm at the Kniestedter Herrenhaus in Salzgitter-Bad (Braunschweiger Straße 137a). The course costs 55 euros.
