Salzgitter

Warning strike in the city administration

The trade unions "Komba" and "Verdi" have called on their members at the city of Salzgitter to go on an all-day warning strike on Tuesday, March 4. The reason is the current wage negotiations.

Within the city administration, the town hall, all external and ancillary offices, the municipal management company (SRB) and municipal employees in the job center are affected by the warning strike call.

The city administration offices will probably be open, but longer waiting times are to be expected.

The Salzgitter City Library will only be open in Lebenstedt during the usual opening hours. The libraries in Bad and Fredenberg will remain closed due to the strike.

According to the SRB, the warning strike in the public sector may result in the collection of yellow bags, the emptying of organic waste garbage cans or residual waste garbage cans and waste paper containers being canceled. Canceled collection dates will not be made up.

If you have any further questions, please contact the SRB's waste advisory service as usual on 05341 / 839-3741.
