Salzgitter-Bad can look back on a long tradition as a state-approved town with a brine spa. There are many historic places to discover, and each building has its own exciting story to tell.
During a stroll through the half-timbered streets of the old town around the market square, Ortsheimatpfleger Holger Rogge tells interesting stories from the past and present. He appears in costume as the historical figure Leo von Wenckstern, accompanied by his wife Monika Rogge-Czernek, who plays Minna Jacobi.
The city tour, offered free of charge in cooperation with the Tourist Information Office, lasts approx. 2 hours.
The meeting point is at 2 p.m. in front of the Vöppstedt ruins.
The destination is the Hotel Ratskeller on the market square.
