Working together for good education right from the start: The city of Salzgitter's Bildungsbüro coordinates and networks regional educational institutions - in other words, it brings institutions together, promotes exchange and ensures that offers are coordinated.
The aim is to create a needs-based educational offer for children and adults in all phases of life directly on site. The Bildungsbüro is committed to ensuring that all people - regardless of their origin, mother tongue or social situation - have the best educational opportunities from the outset.
A particular focus of its work is therefore on the sensitive transitions in educational life, such as from kindergarten to elementary school. Early and targeted language support plays a central role here. After all, language is the key to education. Education enables people to have confidence in their own abilities in order to achieve goals - at any age.
Furthermore, education is also teamwork and is best achieved through the interaction of families, daycare centers, schools and many other partners. The Bildungsbüro networks these educational institutions across the city. The diverse educational offers from all districts are coordinated here and developed in line with demand. The aim is to make all educational opportunities transparent and accessible so that children and adults are linguistically strong and receive the best possible support on their path to lifelong learning.
All citizens and educational stakeholders in the region are invited to use the Bildungsbüro as a central point of contact for all aspects of education in order to jointly shape a needs-based and future-oriented educational landscape for Salzgitter.
The City of Salzgitter's Bildungsbüro also heads up the regional Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) network, making it part of a state-wide initiative in Lower Saxony. It brings together ESD contact persons from various educational institutions to exchange information on the implementation of the ESD decree, develop joint projects and promote sustainable educational work in the region. The network offers a platform for cooperation, mutual support and practical exchange.
