Documents required for your application
- a valid identity card (or a valid residence permit or a valid passport with a current registration certificate).
- a proof of benefits, if this applies to you (student or pupil ID, receipt of benefits according to SGB II/XII with residence in Salzgitter)
- Your declaration of consent to the collection and storage of your personal data (you can bring the completed form with you or complete it on site)
- In the case of minors, the declaration of consent must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian must also present their identity card.

Pupils of full age attending a general school in Salzgitter are exempt from the membership fee for the current school year.
Duration of your membership
Once your membership has expired, it will be suspended. If you would like to become an active member again, please bring your identity card and, if possible, your previous library card with you.
