You can register at the information desk in all three branches.

Please do not forget to bring your identity card!

*In the case of minors, the identity card of a parent or legal guardian and their signature are required on the declaration of consent for registration in the Salzgitter City Library.

You can obtain the declaration of consent from all three branches or you can print it out, fill it in and bring it with you to the registration desk:

• Books, audio books, CDs, games: 4 weeks
• Magazines: 2 weeks
• DVDs / Blu-Ray movies: 1 week

You can renew media up to seven times as long as these media are not requested elsewhere (earmarked):

• around the clock in the user account of the web catalog
• by telephone during opening hours
• in person during your next visit to the library
• or via our contact form

Our courier travels to the individual branches several times a week and brings the media to where they are needed. Order existing media from other branches conveniently from home via the web catalog. Or contact the information desk with your order.

All adult library users pay EUR 1.20 per item and overdraft week or part thereof. Children up to the age of 18 pay only €0.30 per item and overdraft week or part thereof. After the 4th week of overdraft, the library account must unfortunately be blocked.

As this is always an unpleasant situation for us and for you, please do not let it get that far and always check your return dates.

You can find out about the return dates in the web catalog or be notified by e-mail. You will then receive a "friendly reminder" by e-mail two days before the due date.

Please report the loss to us immediately so that we can block your loan account. This will prevent your library card from being misused.

Issuing a replacement card costs only €1.50.
