You will find the brown seed bags from the seed library in all three branches. Seed bags cannot be reserved. The loan period is nine months and cannot be extended.

Each brown seed bag contains two white bags. One is filled with seeds, which you sow at home in a tub or bed. When the plants grown from them have mature seeds, collect the seeds and pack them in the empty white bag. A maximum of 25 seeds are allowed in one bag. If you have more seeds, you can obtain additional bags from us. Return your seeds to one of our three branches by the end of the loan period at the latest.

You can of course also obtain information on sowing and care from us.

This can happen, plants are living things after all and harvesting is not always possible for a variety of reasons. If this is the case for you, please let us know. We will then debit the borrowed seeds from your account. You will not be charged any fees.

Important: Please do not return just any seeds to us. The seed library is protected cultural-historical material that serves plant diversity and sustainability. It is therefore important that only seeds that originate from the borrowed seeds are returned.

The easiest way to receive up-to-date information is to subscribe to our e-mail distribution list especially for the seed library. For this we need your written consent. You can obtain the form from any branch or print it out and bring it to us.
