Tonies are the new generation of audio books that have found their way into the Salzgitter City Library with the support of the Salzgitter Library Association.
The Tonie figures can be borrowed from all three branches and can be left at home for four weeks. However, the Tonie box, i.e. the actual playback device, is not lent out and must be available at home as a prerequisite, as must a functioning WLAN.
As the Tonies are quite small, they are lent out in the boxes, which are not located in the children's libraries, but near the information desks.
