Learning and being active together
If you would like to become a youth leader, you should enjoy working with children and young people. The necessary knowledge will be imparted to you by a team from the children and youth development department.
What skills do I need?
Here you will get some background knowledge about youth work and lots of suggestions, tips and training for your own practice.
The focus is on three skills, the so-called core competencies:
- Leadership skills,
- self-assessment and
- getting to know legal and association structures.
But don't worry: it's as practical as possible.
The motto of the youth leader training course is "experience, learn and participate together", which means that during the many practical parts of the course, especially during the two days on the high ropes course, you will be able to try things out for yourself and perhaps even get to know yourself a little better.
Supplemented by a first aid course, you will acquire the necessary qualification for the nationwide "JuLeiCa", which gives you a number of benefits and can be useful for job applications.
