Instrument tours, children's and family concerts and much more: the music school of the city of Salzgitter invites you to its traditional and popular music school days in June.

Anyone who loves music, wants to discover different instruments or has questions about what the music school has to offer is invited to the music school days.

From June 8 to 11, there will be plenty of opportunities to try out the various instruments, listen to concerts, dance, find out about the music school's offerings and talk to the experienced team of music teachers. The musical voyage of discovery also includes the instrument tour and the children's and family concerts.

If you like, you can also simply spend a few pleasant hours in the music school with music, coffee, cake and dancing.

Kick-off on Sunday, June 7:

The highly gifted class of the Hanover University of Music invites you to the castle concert in the Fürstensaal Schloss Salder at 5 pm.

Kick-off for the children on Monday, June 8:

At 3 pm, the "Fidolino" ensemble will perform a musical story about "Travel Fever" in the culture barn: Trombone, euphonium, tuba, flute, vocals and piano will perform. Admission is free.

Introductory date for table harps on Tuesday, June 9:

For adults interested in table harps, there will be a musical get-to-know date from 10.30 am. The motto is: listen, sing along and try it out!

Crossover concert on Tuesday, June 9:

At 7 pm, popular music and classical music meet in the Kulturscheune.

Music get-together on Wednesday, June 10:

At 7.30 pm, the music get-together for adults will take place - adults play for adults - it will be culinary - musical with a cozy finale.

Dancing with music on Thursday, June 11:

Sitting dance: senior citizens are invited from 10.30 to 11.30 am.

"Music and dance for everyone": Teachers from the music school then invite people to dance to music from different centuries at 5.15 pm - the young and the young at heart meet up for this experiment. Who will be there?

A cheerful finale on Thursday, June 11:

The music school days end on Thursday with a serenade concert at 7 pm in the Kulturscheune (Thiestraße 22).

Children's and family concerts:

The children's and family concerts will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 4 pm in the hall of the Alte Feuerwache on Wehrstraße in Lebenstedt. The pupils of the music school will use their instruments to tell their young listeners special stories with beautiful music.

Instrument tour:

Monday to Wednesday, the "instrument circuit" opens. Here, children from the age of six, teenagers and adults can try out instruments. Many instruments are represented:

On Monday, June 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. are represented: Recorder, flute, guitar, violin, viola, piano, trombone, euphonium, tuba, saxophone, clarinet, table harp and percussion.

There will also be a hands-on activity in the hall of the fire station on Monday at 5 p.m. following the percussion try-out. Many different percussion instruments will be represented!

On Tuesday, June 9, from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m., the following instruments will be represented: vocals, accordion, piano, cello, guitar, violin, viola, trombone, euphonium, tuba, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, electric guitar and drums

On Wednesday, June 10, from 4.45 to 5.30 p.m., the following will be represented: Music for the little ones, percussion, piano, violin, viola, recorder, double bass, electric bass, guitar and electric guitar.

For young children, the "Kunst- und Kreativschule" KuK offers craft activities in the cafeteria.

Colorful music school concerts:

The 6 p.m. concerts are varied. Here, those interested have the opportunity to listen to numerous solo and chamber music performances by music students of all instruments.

The Music School Days will take place from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, at the music school (Wehrstraße 27) and in the Kulturscheune (Thiestraße 22). Admission is free.
