Musical and cultural education is a natural part of the city of Salzgitter's mission statement. The municipal music school supports children and families by offering musical lessons in the fields of music and dance, which are open to all interested parties.

Every person begins their musical career with their first heartbeat. He plays (with) music, he tells stories by singing, he needs rhythm, he demands harmony, he expresses himself musically: he makes music. The world knows no people without music.
You bring your own personal musical world to us. The music school is directly linked to your experiences with music. Here you will learn at your own pace how to develop and improve your playing and expand your forms of expression. We know many rules and have learned how to teach them. You are very welcome, we will be happy to advise you on your options.

The music school follows the curriculum of the Association of German Music Schools (VdM).
The Salzgitter Music School is a member of the Association of German Music Schools (VdM) and is a recognized public cultural and educational institution.
It was founded in 1958 as "Musikschulwerk e.V." and has been under municipal sponsorship since 1981.
