Jan Holzenbecher:
Graduate geographer Jan Holzenbecher brings extensive knowledge of climate protection consulting, material flow management, renewable energies and the development of climate protection concepts from his previous career. During his time at the "merkWATT" office, he was one of the "fathers" of the climate protection concept launched by the city of Salzgitter in 2013. Jan Holzenbecher has been responsible for its implementation and further development since 2015.
Katharina Migyu:
Katharina Migyu is responsible for drawing up a climate protection concept for the administration in addition to general activities in the field of climate protection. Katharina Migyu has extensive knowledge of scientific issues from her studies in environmental sciences at the TU Braunschweig. During her studies, she dealt with scientific issues in the fields of ecology and climatology. In the field of climatology, her focus was on urban climatological issues.
Brigitte Reinefeld:
Brigitte Reinefeld is primarily responsible for the creation of an unsealing concept for Salzgitter. The unsealing of surfaces improves water infiltration, reduces flood risks, increases biodiversity in cities and provides better heat protection. Furthermore, unsealed surfaces provide an improved microclimate, which can increase the quality of life for citizens. Brigitte Reinefeld has a Master's degree in Life Science Technologies from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences.
