All the following information (last adjustment: 17.11.2017) are our complete prices in euros including the required vaccine, medical consultation/vaccination, consumables, issue of the International Vaccination Card/Vaccination Booklet and all taxes and other price components. We do not differentiate between those with private health insurance and those with statutory health insurance, and our prices are the same for everyone.

All vaccinations are for adults, unless otherwise stated. All of the following vaccines are always in stock.

In the case of several vaccinations per appointment and person, there is an automatic cost reduction of €10.49 for the second and each additional vaccination mentioned above.

The issuing of a prescription, e.g. for chemoprophylaxis against malaria, is free of charge as part of a medical vaccination consultation or vaccination.

How do you pay?
You can pay in cash at vaccination appointments during our opening hours. Otherwise, you will receive a notification of costs from the City of Salzgitter by post some time after the vaccination. Please pay by bank transfer to a bank account of the city of Salzgitter.

Will I be reimbursed by my health insurance company?
Due to the 2007 health reform, some statutory health insurance companies now also reimburse travel vaccinations abroad, provided that the so-called Stiko vaccination guidelines have been applied. We can provide you with a certificate of this on request. Please ask your health insurance company about the assumption of costs. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to provide a general or even individual answer due to the large number of health insurance companies/insurance companies with their different statutes or contractual conditions. There is also information available on the Internet, a link to an overview page can be found below.

Please bring all your existing vaccination documents/vaccination cards/vaccination certificates with you in order to receive the best possible vaccination advice and to avoid unnecessary early booster vaccinations.

We advise all travelers to clarify the legal situation in the country to be visited individually before the start of the trip and to obtain any special permits required for carrying narcotics from the relevant supervisory authority in the country of destination. Information on this can be obtained from the respective diplomatic representation of the destination country in Germany. You can find their addresses on the homepage of the Federal Foreign Office (see below).

When traveling for up to 30 days in member states of the Schengen Agreement (for a detailed list of countries, see link below), these are e.g. Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Spain, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, it is possible to take narcotics prescribed by a doctor with a certificate completed by your doctor and certified by our public health department.

When traveling to other countries (i.e. outside the Schengen Agreement), we advise you to carry a special medical certificate (sample form below) in English. On the form, your doctor will fill in the details for A) to D).
In addition, he must always stamp his practice stamp to the right of section B and also sign it personally with the current date.
The official certification for E) is only carried out afterwards and only if the form has been completed in full by our public health department.
From experience, we recommend that in these cases you also carry a certificate in accordance with the Schengen Agreement with you on your trip. This is advisable when re-entering/returning to Germany (member state of the Schengen Agreement).

Please note: Carrying and importing methadone into Turkey is generally prohibited.
