WC facility opened at Salzgittersee

The new toilet facility at Salzgittersee near the Pirate Playground has been completed and has been available to visitors to the local recreation area since today, Monday, December 23.

The facility offers two toilet rooms and a separate toilet for the disabled and cost around 240,000 euros.

It opens in winter (October 31 to April 30) from 8 am to 6 pm and in the summer months from 7 am to 10 pm. The contracted builder of the toilet facility will also operate it all year round. The frequency of cleaning varies depending on the season, from twice a day in summer to three times a week in winter.

Visually, the building with its green wooden façade and stainless steel doors is adapted to the "Pirate Playground" location.

The building consists of: thermally insulated precast concrete elements, thermally insulated wooden façade, stainless steel exterior doors, central locking system with timer, seamless synthetic resin flooring, ceramic wall tiles, stainless steel sanitary facilities, electrical function release for water, air and soap, stainless steel tub underneath the urinal basin and automatic seat cleaning for all toilets.
