Albert-Schweitzer-Straße: Changed traffic routing

As part of the expansion of Albert-Schweitzer-Straße in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt, the traffic routing will be changed from Friday afternoon, April 7, until probably the end of June.

New traffic routing.

Albert-Schweitzer-Straße coming from the north will then be fully closed from the level of the town hall before Joachim-Campe-Straße. However, Chemnitzer Straße and the town hall forecourt will still be accessible.

From the direction of the train station, Albert-Schweitzer-Straße will remain open in the northbound direction (out of town) and in the direction of Joachim-Campe-Straße.

Further changes:

  • From Joachim-Campe-Straße, Albert-Schweitzer-Straße can be accessed in both directions. However, the access road to the post office parking lot will be moved forward and the access road to the town hall parking lot will be closed.

  • Traffic will be regulated in one lane with the aid of a traffic light system in the area of the junction.

  • The pedestrian crossing at Schröderpassage will be closed and the traffic lights at the Albert-Schweitzer-Straße / Gothastraße junction will be put into operation with a pedestrian crossing.

Traffic obstructions are to be expected.
