The façade repairs in this section include the cleaning/priming of the façades, the removal of cracks and plaster damage and the painting in a fresh beige/yellow color with grey elements in coordination with the Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments. In addition, the gables and dormers will be refurbished and the exterior house and cellar doors as well as the cellar windows will be painted. These works will be subsidized by 40 percent (approx. 18,300 euros). Urban development funds are used for this funding, which are financed in equal parts by the federal government, the state and the municipality.
60 percent of the total costs, which amount to around 46,000 euros, will be borne by the housing company. "We want to keep moving the district forward," says Dr. Holger Müller from Van der Horst Wohnen.
