The three locations in Nordhorn, Rinteln and Salzgitter offer a varied sports program for all age groups. Visitors can try out many different sports from 10 am to 5 pm. In Salzgitter, the stadium on Salzgittersee is the venue.

The chairman of the district sports association in Salzgitter, Clemens Löcke, is looking forward to the major event: "With the successful Festival of Sports 2012, we proved that our clubs are also very good at accompanying major sporting events". According to Löcke, preparations are currently in full swing.

Mayor Frank Klingebiel also sees the award to Salzgitter as recognition from the state of Lower Saxony for the sports-loving and sports-friendly city of Salzgitter. "The district sports association with its clubs and professional associations is well positioned - this will once again be a sporting highlight," said the mayor happily.
