Salzgitter

What will Salzgitter look like in 2040?

What should Salzgitter look like in 2040? How do citizens want to live and work then? In the "Im/mobile Cultures - Salzgitter 2040" workshop, ideas will be collected and future scenarios developed.

All interested parties are invited to this event on Monday, December 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Alte Feuerwache.

The workshop will be moderated by Kristof von Anshelm from the company von A und Z Inspirationsmanagement and accompanied by students from the Transformation Design course at HBK Braunschweig.

The idea was born at the meeting of the Committee for Environmental and Climate Protection on November 7, 2017: students from the University of Fine Arts (HBK) presented three future scenarios for Salzgitter. Unusual perspectives for the city emerged from these brainstorms, as well as appealing approaches for coexistence. The committee members and students would like to discuss these scenarios with the citizens. At the same time, the people of Salzgitter are invited to contribute their ideas for "Salzgitter 2040". How should the city be shaped? How will the city and its inhabitants develop? What roles do climate protection, mobility and digitalization play for the people in the 31 districts?

Interested parties are invited to discuss these and other questions at the "Im-mobilie Culture/Salzgitter 2040" workshop on Monday, December 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Alte Feuerwache, Wehrstraße 27. Admission is free of charge. Please register with the City of Salzgitter's climate protection manager Jan Holzenbecher (Tel. 05341 839-4141) or jan.holzenbecherstadt.salzgitterde
