Following last year's successful premiere, citizens have the opportunity to have their own home analyzed by an energy expert for 10 euros until Monday, October 15.
"Solar energy offers many opportunities," emphasizes Michael Tacke, City Councillor for Building, Urban Planning, Urban Development and the Environment. The "Solar Check" provides information about these opportunities. "The solar check is the basis for further decisions by homeowners," says Patrick Nestler from the Regionalen EnergieAgentur e.V. The demand for energy advice is there.
The check includes an analysis of the house that is to be used for solar energy. An energy expert trained by the Climate Protection and Energy Agency comes to the home and analyzes the energy consumption and the condition of the roof (size, orientation, pitch and superstructure).
The house and its technology provide information on the integrability of solar power and heat. The usual energy consumption of the residents indicates how high the proportion of environmentally and climate-friendly, quiet and independent solar energy can be. Subsidies make modernization with solar energy even more attractive.
For climate protection manager Jan Holzenbecher from the city of Salzgitter, solar roof systems are not just energy suppliers: "A solar system - whether for heat or electricity generation - makes you less dependent on fluctuating energy prices. A photovoltaic system also provides thermal insulation for rooms under the roof in summer."
The special feature: For the first 100 participants, the personal contribution for the solar check is just 10 euros (value of the consultation: over 110 euros). The approximately one-hour consultation takes place after registration with the City of Salzgitter's climate protection management, Jan Holzenbecher, by calling 05341/839-4141 or e-mailing jan.holzenbecherstadt.salzgitterde
When registering, the homeowner will also be given the name of the energy expert. The expert will then call the homeowner directly to arrange a consultation appointment. The expert can identify themselves at the on-site appointment.
If you would like to check in advance whether your own roof is generally suitable for solar use, you can do an initial check online at http://www.solare-stadt.de/zgb/Start. However, this check does not replace the consultation with the energy expert!
