Around 300 citizens have taken part so far to actively help shape culture in Salzgitter. "We are delighted with every completed questionnaire. The answers are important for the development of future cultural offerings," emphasizes Eric Neiseke, Head of Cultural Affairs for the city of Salzgitter. The online survey is part of the participation process, which was preceded by four cultural conferences. All suggestions and ideas will be incorporated into the Kulturentwicklungsplan, which will define the cultural goals and perspectives as well as the framework for action for the next ten years and which the city council will then have to decide on.

"We want to work together with the people of Salzgitter to promote culture in the city and are delighted to have everyone involved in shaping this process," says Eric Neiseke, Head of Cultural Affairs for the City of Salzgitter. Culture not only includes visits to museums, theaters or classical concerts, but also influences the everyday life of every individual. Cinema, YouTube, festivals, poetry slams or simply listening to music are also part of the concept of culture.

The online questionnaire is available in six languages. "Which cultural offerings do you use? Which events do you like? What is missing in Salzgitter?" are some of the questions whose answers are important for further cultural development in Salzgitter. The evaluation takes place afterwards.

If you take a few minutes, you could be lucky enough to win two tickets for a concert of your choice during the Kultursommer. The draw will take place on July 16, 2018 and the winners will be notified in writing by email; legal recourse is excluded. All residents of Salzgitter are eligible to take part.
