They love music and manage to entertain their listeners in the best sense of the word. With a mixture of soul and rhythm & blues, the five from Hildesheim rock everything - from clubs to festivals. They have been touring the world for 30 years. The result: around 4500 concerts and numerous prizes, from the "German Blues Award" to being named Europe's best blues band by French music editors.
Especially live they are considered an experience. That's why B.B. & The Blues Shacks have also been able to establish their reputation as a top band overseas. They have played in Dubai, at the Doheny Festival in Los Angeles and at the Byron Bay Festival in Australia with artists such as Bob Dylan, B.B. King and Elvis Costello in front of tens of thousands of people.
Frontman Michael Arlt (vocals and harp) has long been in the premier league of European blues and soul singers. His brother Andreas Arlt, known for his powerful yet elegant playing style, is now regarded as a "world-class guitarist". With Fabian Fritz on piano and organ, the band was able to engage another genius for the independent sound. Henning Hauerken (double bass and electric bass) and drummer Andre Werkmeister provide the drive and groove that you take home with you from the concert. Fans of the five musicians already know that a concert by B.B. & The Blues Shacks is always a huge party.
