WEVG Salzgitter GmbH & Co KG has to replace a section of the district heating pipeline at the Kattowitzer Straße / Willy-Brandt-Straße / Bruchmachtersenstraße intersection in SZ-Lebenstedt (former traffic circle). The planned construction work will begin on October 5 and will last six to eight weeks according to current planning.

During the construction work, there will be traffic restrictions on Kattowitzer Straße, which will only have one lane in both directions between the junction of the former traffic circle and Kampstraße. As the roadworks traffic will also have to use these lanes, there will be possible tailbacks at the former traffic circle junction. It is therefore strongly recommended not to enter or leave the city center area via this junction, but to take wide detours.

Furthermore, there will be obstructions on the sidewalks in the aforementioned section of Kattowitzer Straße due to material transports and construction machinery as well as possible soiling.
