Unusual times call for creative measures in order to continue offering children and young people great activities. Some time ago, the teams at the children's and youth clubs (KJTs) went down new online paths, which have been well received. With the start of the lockdown, the KJTs are also open to a limited extent.

Children and young people can look forward to a range of creative and sporting activities during the summer vacations: At the Hamberg children's and youth club, for example, the summer will be colorful. From 20 to 24 July or from 27 to 31 July, children aged six to 14 can take part in scavenger hunts, handicrafts and creative activities.

The KJT Graffiti in the Forellenhof youth culture workshop offers daily supervision from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the vacation weeks for children aged six to 12: during this time, they can use the outdoor area for activities, play games or bring their own ideas.

There is also an open afternoon and evening program for all young people between the ages of six and 27. Graffiti spraying under supervision is just as possible as playing darts.

Variety is also guaranteed at the KJTs Thiede, Hallendorf and Chillhouse in Lichtenberg: games, excursions, handicrafts and creative activities are on the program on a daily or weekly basis. Test your speed on the obstacle course, design your own cloth bag, play pool or maybe just chill out? The choice is certainly not easy....

Those who would rather discover the local forest are in good hands at the Hamberg children's and youth center in August: There, from August 10 to 14 and August 17 to 21, you can go on a journey of discovery with forest and wilderness educators. Excitement is of course guaranteed!

Many things are different this year, but one thing is certain: the kids can look forward to a summer vacation with lots of great activities.
