During the entire construction period, the extensive detour route will run from Hohenrode via the B 248 to Lutter am Barenberge and from there via the B 82 to Langelsheim or Goslar and vice versa.

For those familiar with the area, local bypasses of the individual construction sections are possible via adjacent state and district roads.

(as of 18.08.2022) The first section has been completed: a length of 2.5 kilometers of carriageway has already been renewed on federal road 6 between Kunigunde and Jerstedt. The new road is 8.5 meters wide. The asphalt was laid evenly across the entire width using a paver so that there is no central seam.

For this process and to ensure work safety, however, the Bundesstraße 6 must be fully closed. The road in the Jerstedt area was already resurfaced a few years ago and is therefore not affected by this construction project.

The renewal of the second construction phase will begin on August 22. The section stretches from the Jerstedt through road to the Bassgeige industrial estate junction and is another 2.5 kilometers long. Work will begin from the Jerstedt through road to the Hoher Bruch junction, from there to the Bassgeige industrial estate junction, followed by the Bassgeige industrial estate junction itself.

During this time, the industrial estate will be accessible via Stapelner Straße.

Around three weeks are planned for each section. Delays due to weather conditions, for example, cannot be ruled out. Once the road has been paved, work on vehicle restraint and road markings will continue for around three weeks.
