Anyone who would like to help shape Salzgitter and help break down barriers for people with disabilities can be nominated as a member.
Persons are eligible for nomination if they have their main place of residence in Salzgitter and have a disability themselves. Or are appointed as the legal representative for a disabled person whose main place of residence is in Salzgitter. A disabled person's pass is not required.
Nomination lists are available at the town hall in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt from the Social Services and Senior Citizens Department in the office of the municipal representative for the disabled.
They can also be requested by calling 05341 / 839-4409 or sending an e-mail to kbbstadt.salzgitterde. The Disability Officer will also be happy to answer any questions at these contact details.
The nomination list must be submitted by September 16, 2022 via
- Self-help groups of people with disabilities or
- an association (e.V.) with its headquarters in Salzgitter or
- a church congregation or
- a trade union or
- the working group of welfare associations or
- associations and organizations that focus on people with disabilities.
The Advisory Board for People with Disabilities is appointed for the 18th electoral term of the Salzgitter City Council until October 31, 2026.
