Neuwerk youth and education camp: meeting of volunteers

On November 11, a meeting of volunteers involved in the Neuwerk youth and education camp took place at the Forellenhof children's and youth club in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt.

30 volunteers accepted the invitation from the specialist service for children, youth and families.

A total of 30 volunteers accepted the invitation from the children, youth and family department.

Martina Malak, head of the municipal children and youth support department, welcomed and opened the event and expressed her praise and thanks for the past voluntary work. She also introduced her department and the new members of staff.

In his speech, Dr. Dirk Härdrich, the responsible department head at the city of Salzgitter, also emphasized the importance of the Neuwerk project and the role of volunteers. He also expressed his personal thanks to all those present for the realization and maintenance of the Neuwerk youth and education camp and pointed out the importance of youth work.

In her speech, Elke Ferfers, Head of the Children, Youth and Family Department at the city, expressed her enthusiasm for the broad commitment of those present and also emphasized the outstanding position of the Neuwerk project as a supra-regional flagship for youth work in Salzgitter.

Dr. Roswitha Krum, Chairwoman of the Youth Camp Sponsors' Association, also joined the previous speakers in expressing her thanks.

By providing funds through donations and membership fees, the association helps to maintain the children's and youth camps on the island of Neuwerk.
