This new training series for interested emergency doctors was launched in collaboration with the Notarzt-Börse and the Salzgitter professional fire department. Torsten Preuß, a lecturer from the Salzgitter professional fire department, introduced the participants to procedures and digital support systems in the event of major incidents. The training room at the main fire station was well filled with around 20 participants. After two hours of information and training, there was a relaxed exchange of ideas.

Together with the emergency doctor exchange and the Salzgitter professional fire department, a continuous, monthly training series is planned for the coming year. The next event will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, again at the main fire station in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt. The topic of this training course will be "Lower Saxony law on assistance and protective measures for the mentally ill".

Since 2019, the Notarzt-Börse has been the service provider for the provision of two emergency doctors per day for the rescue service of the city of Salzgitter. One emergency doctor is stationed at Fire Station 2 in Salzgitter-Bad and one at the Helios Clinic in Salzgitter Lebenstedt, together with an emergency paramedic from the professional fire department, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
