Submitting building applications online - presentation of the new procedure

Due to a legal requirement to accept numerous application procedures digitally, the City of Salzgitter is introducing new processing software in the Building Regulations and Monument Protection department.

From January 1, 2024, all procedures will be processed and handled digitally. Applicants can access the new service from this date via the following link:

According to the Lower Saxony Building Regulations, the following notifications, reports, applications and inquiries must be submitted digitally to the lower building supervisory authority from January:

  • Notifications of an intended demolition or removal of a building structure
  • Notifications of other construction measures that do not require approval
  • Applications for confirmation that proof of stability or fire protection complies with public building law
  • Applications for approval of a deviation
  • Applications for the granting of an exception or exemption
  • Applications for the granting of a building permit
  • Applications for the granting of a partial building permit
  • Applications for an extension of the period of validity of a building permit, a partial building permit or a preliminary building permit
  • Preliminary building inquiries and
  • Applications for the granting of a type approval

A prerequisite for the digital submission of the above-mentioned types of procedure is the use of a user account with defined security requirements. The so-called BundID is required for proof of identity.

The City of Salzgitter is offering a presentation of the new digital procedure in the form of a video conference for interested drafters. The scheduled dates are 13.12.2023, 2 pm, and 14.12.2023, 10 am. Anyone wishing to attend can register by 12.12.2023 at the latest via the e-mail address bauordnungstadt.salzgitterde, stating the desired date.
