Two Volkshochschulen, a good neighbor and partnership: this is celebrated in a special way with the Art Days and five courses.

"Watercolor Painting": The focus of the course is on the joy of painting and experimenting. An experienced artist accompanies the participants to learn and try out the many painting techniques. Beginners are introduced to watercolor techniques in small practical exercises. Further learning content includes basic knowledge about paper and color quality, color theory, composition and a brief overview of the great masters of watercolor.

"Discover the world of smartphone photography": Participants learn from professionals how to use the full potential of their own camera. This course offers: Expert guidance through the world of smartphone photography; tips and tricks to improve your photography and image composition as well as practical exercises - live!

"Fineliner - animal drawings made easy": The focus of this course is for participants to approach the subject of animal drawing easily and with pleasure. Professional support is provided for the implementation. The group approaches drawing with a fineliner in a playful way. Using photos, the participants learn how to draw animals with the fineliner and give them their own character.

"Basics of camera technology and digital photography": This course is aimed at all beginners in photography who want to get to know their camera better and learn how to take photos. In this course, participants will learn about: the setting options on the camera; the effect of the settings on the image result; understanding and using the relationships between the settings as well as free, practical application of the various setting options / parameters.

"Stone sculpting in the garden of the Kniestedter manor house": In the middle of the beautiful garden behind the Kniestedter manor house, participants have the opportunity to create sculptures in figurative or free form from limestone over the course of a weekend. Together with the artist Holger Lassen, participants will be introduced to the technique of stone sculpting and advised on the choice of stones and tools.
