Satire about marriage and happiness by and with Tankred Lerch

Tankred Lerch will be reading from his book "Die Hochzeit meines besten Freundes (mit mir)" on Thursday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Lebenstedt City Library (Joachim-Campe-Straße 4).

Tankred Lerch reads from his fast-paced comedy about a male friendship that (almost) falls apart and presents a trenchant social satire about marriage, friendship and the search for happiness.

Jan and Rode are best friends and live in a shared flat. At a wedding, they come up with the idea of taking advantage of the tax benefits of marriage - even though they are heterosexual and have no intimate feelings for each other other other than friendship. With this idea, the two get things mixed up and set off a chain of misjudgments.

The author was born in Lübeck in 1970, went to school in Hamburg, studied law in Kiel and worked as a trainee at Radio Schleswig-Holstein. He has lived in Cologne since 1997, works as an author and producer for television (including "extra3", "Stromberg", "Krömer - Late Night Show", "TV total") and has been teaching media technology and dramaturgy as a freelance lecturer since 2013.

Tickets are available in advance for 10 euros at the Lebenstedt and Bad city libraries. Please register in advance on 05341 - 839 3434 or by email to stadtbibliothekstadt.salzgitterde Tickets at the box office cost 12 euros.
