Zig-zagging over the checked fabric and full throttle into the side seam: once you learn how to use a sewing machine, you will realize how easy it is to make clothes and small items out of fabric.

Participants receive step-by-step instructions on how to cut fabric, what a pattern is used for and how one seam after another leads to the desired result. A trained seamstress will make it easier for anyone interested to get started with sewing, so that at the end of the course they can say: "I sewed that myself".

Information: The sewing course for beginners starts at the Volkshochschule Lebenstedt (Thiestraße 26a) on Friday, February 9 (5 to 5:45 p.m.) and serves as a preliminary discussion. For the following five dates (Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m.), participants will need a sewing machine and all the materials discussed beforehand. The course costs 84 euros.
