The event will be hosted by Simone Semmler, Equal Opportunities Officer for the City of Salzgitter.
This sixth lecture in the series "Securing women's livelihoods" contains tips on how women can take good and concrete countermeasures to ensure that their own retirement provision is adequate. Gillmann gives advice on how women can get an overview of what they need to pay attention to with regard to their own pension and how gaps can be identified in order to close them in good time.
Topics of the lecture:
- The pension point, what it is and how it is calculated
- What must be earned in order to have an adequate pension
- Widow's pension (how much is actually left over, and why the partner is only a limited source of old-age security)
- Supplementary models - company pensions, Riester and so on
- How to supplement family leave and part-time gaps
- Drawing pensions acquired abroad in Germany
- Moving abroad for retirement, what needs to be considered
