Salzgitter

Picturesque premiere

Under the title "Look Around", Edward B. Gordon is exhibiting his paintings for the first time in a solo exhibition in a museum. The Municipal Art Collections invite interested parties to the exhibition opening on Sunday, June 1, at 11 am.

Pneumatic tube is the title of this picture.

The artist's oil paintings show everyday scenes and snapshots that captivate the viewer with their lively depiction. His works reflect fleeting moments that resemble everyday perception.

They are not extraordinary moments or moments worth remembering, but Gordon recognizes them and gives them a special effect through his artistic means.

Through the targeted use of light, color and contrasts, the artist overcomes the monotony of everyday life and creates spaces in his pictures that invite the viewer to linger.

His works tell stories that offer the painterly opportunity to view everyday life from a different perspective.

The Goldmaker is the title of this work.

The exhibition "Look Around" is his first solo exhibition in a museum.

Edward B. Gordon has been painting a new picture every day for many years:

"Since I started painting a picture a day, I have become more aware of many things, such as the weather and the seasons, especially their quiet and sometimes dramatic changes, the change in light and mood...

My perception has undoubtedly changed. I have learned to see instead of just looking," says Edward B. Gordon.

The Bottle Maker is the title of this picture.
