Salzgitter

Successful musical premiere for a good cause

A special concert for a special cause: teachers from the music school played together and asked for donations for the "Regenbogenweg" children's and youth bereavement program run by the Salzgitter hospice initiative. The guests were enthusiastic about this idea and the concert. Everyone involved was delighted with the 731.50 euros.

Handing over donations for a good cause (from left): Hartmut Schölch, Head of Cultural Services for the City of Salzgitter, Angelika Fiegen, Member of the Board; Carmen Schlechtweg and Ines Bähr-Vogt from the Hospice Initiative's (HIS) children and youth bereavement work; Sabine Petter, Head of the City of Salzgitter's Music School; Christine Fritsche, Coordinator of HIS; Heribert Pietschmann, 1st Chairman of the Hospice Initiative and Stefanie Hiller, Lecturer at the Music School.

"The Regenbogenweg is grateful for the donation because we are dependent on this support," said Ines Bähr-Vogt, who is responsible for children and young people's bereavement work." The team at the hospice initiative was delighted to receive this donation to support children, young people, families and other people seeking advice during the difficult times of loss and grief.

Sabine Petter, Head of the Salzgitter Music School, thanked the staff and volunteers at Swindonstraße. "Their work is very important for people. Volunteers accompany the seriously ill and dying to enable them to have a self-determined last phase of life," said Sabine Petter in recognition of this commitment.

Hartmut Schölch, Head of Cultural Services for the City of Salzgitter, was delighted with this premiere and the amount of money raised in recognition of the work of the hospice initiative and the lecturers' concert.

A continuation is planned for next year. The music school team would like to continue supporting committed people in Salzgitter in this musical way.

Stefanie Hiller, lecturer at the municipal music school, is happy to pass on the thanks of those responsible for the hospice initiative to the other participants.
