Family Olympics on Salzgittersee for young and old

Nine family centers in Salzgitter invite you to the first Family Olympics for young and old on Saturday, June 14, at the stadium on Salzgittersee. From 11 am to 3 pm, children, young people and adults can look forward to a sporting festival with exercise, encounters and community.

Looking forward to the Family Olympics (front from left): Corinna Rittel (AWO Family Center Wilhelm-Kunze-Ring); Nina Walther (Protestant Family Center KunterBund (Propsteiverband Ostfalen)), (back from left): Monika Bockmann (Specialist for Eearly Excellence Approach of the City of Salzgitter); Martina Filemenov (Kath. Familienzentrum St. Bernward (Caritas)); Rebecca Thomas (Paritätisches Familienzentrum Purzelbaum); Stefanie Brendel (Ev. Familienzentrum Martin-Luther) and Irmgard Kappei (Kath. Familienzentrum St. Joseph (Caritas)).

The coordinators of the nine family centers in Salzgitter organized the varied world of experience:

  • Protestant Family Center KunterBund (Propsteiverband Ostfalen)
  • St. Elisabeth Family Center (Caritas)
  • Christ-König Catholic Family Center (Caritas)
  • AWO Family Center Wilhelm-Kunze-Ring
  • St. Joseph Catholic Family Center (Caritas)
  • Protestant Family Center Martin-Luther
  • Paritätisches Familienzentrum Purzelbaum
  • Protestant family center Stiftsmäuse (Propsteiverband Ostfalen)
  • St. Bernward Catholic Family Center (Caritas)

The varied program includes ten sports stations, including limbo dancing, long jump, sprinting and a scooter course. There is something for every age group - all family members, young and old, can take part.

The event's cooperation partners also provide special features: the Donors' Parliament brings along an oversized soccer dartboard, which provides plenty of fun and challenges. The AOK Niedersachsen will delight younger guests with a bouncy castle, an exciting hands-on jungle and the popular mascot Jolinchen.
