Once again this year, Bäder, Sport und Freizeit GmbH (BSF), together with the administration of the city of Salzgitter, has succeeded in putting together a vacation program for the summer vacations with many attractive offers.
From July 3 to August 13, children and young people up to the age of 18 from Salzgitter and the surrounding area can enjoy the activities to their heart's content. The close cooperation with the children, youth and family department of the city of Salzgitter, which offers many activities throughout the year, for example via the children's and youth clubs, has been maintained.
"I'm thrilled: more than 100 attractive activities, events and sports courses are planned for our pupils during the vacations. There's no chance of boredom and summer vacation fun is guaranteed! I would like to thank everyone involved in putting these activities together. I wish all the pupils lots of fun and a great, eventful summer vacation," says Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel.
Online portal for the vacation program:
The vacation program is once again available on an online portal. You have to register online for most of the offers.
The online portal will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, 14 June, and registration for the various courses organized by Bäder, Sport und Freizeit Salzgitter GmbH will then be possible. "The portal contains all the courses and activities offered by BSF and the Children, Youth and Family Department. Everything under one roof is clear and easy to discover," says BSF Managing Director Annette Schudrowitz, explaining the advantage for users, who only have to register once, making it easier to register for the various courses.
Bath and sports brand available again
The swimming pool and sports stamps are still on offer: With the Bäder-Marke, you can visit the Stadtbad in Lebenstedt and the Waldschwimmbad in Gebhardshagen three times a week for a one-off fee of 6 euros. This means you can use the pools 6 out of 7 days a week at no extra cost. In addition, the Thermalsolbad can be visited free of charge on Mondays as part of the fun bathing days.
With the sports stamp, which costs 3 euros, you can visit all the sports facilities offered by the pass without having to join a club. Various sports courses spread across the city offer a wide range of opportunities to try out different sports.
Historic train ride and take off into the air
The historic Reichsbahn train from 1928 once again invites you on an entertaining trip through the Harz foreland. Vacation pass holders can take the train between Bornum am Harz and Derneburg and back free of charge.

The vacation pass, the flyer and the swimming pool and sports stamp for the 2025 vacation program will be available at the following points of sale from Monday, 16 June at the latest:
- Stadtbad Salzgitter-Lebenstedt,
- KVG mobility center at Salzgitter-Lebenstedt train station,
- Thermalsolbad Salzgitter-Bad,
- Gebhardshagen forest swimming pool and
- from many providers of sports courses.
