Vacation fun with reading: The 17th Antolin competition starts

When the summer vacation starts soon, it means six weeks of free time and six weeks of reading time for the pupils! Because the Antolin Summer Reading Club offers fun with impressive Antolin books for girls and boys in grades 1 to 4.

Vacation time is reading time! Welcome to the city library.

From Monday, June 23, to Sunday, August 17, the motto at the Salzgitter City Library will once again be: "Collect points by reading!"

All children of primary school age can eagerly read selected current books with their free library card and answer quiz questions about the corresponding book on the Antolin internet platform to collect points. Participating children will receive their own Antolin password when they register.

In addition to reading, there will also be exciting activities for all those taking part in the Antolin competition. For example, there will be a bouldering morning, a visit to the animal shelter and a great morning at the NABU biological station.

It's worth taking part! All participants who collect points will receive a certificate and a medal. The best readers in each class level will receive a prize.

At the end of the Antolin project, everyone who has taken part is invited to a closing party.

"Antolin awakens children's interest in reading and motivates them because the girls and boys discover at their own pace how well they can read and understand what they have read. This is what makes the program so popular and successful. For us as the city library, this is all the more reason to call for the start of the 17th round of this competition," says Sylvia Fiedler, head of the city library.

Information about the Antolin competition and how to register is available from the city library on 05341 / 839-3434 or by e-mail lesefoerderungstadt.salzgitterde and in person at the branches of the city library.
