A great way to get in the mood for the summer vacation!

The vocational schools in Salzgitter (BBS), the Fredenberg secondary school and the Klunkau secondary school, the Gottfried Die Linke secondary school, the IGS and the Gymnasium am Fredenberg, in whose gymnasium the tournament took place one afternoon, all took part.

The youngsters playing soccer had just as much fun as the pupils cheering on their teams from the stands. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the games were fair and everyone agreed: we want to do this again!

All participating schools were congratulated. The top three were given a special round of applause:

1st place Gymnasium am Fredenberg, 2nd place Hauptschule an der Klunkau, 3rd place Hauptschule am Fredenberg.

The organizers once again drew a positive conclusion: "This joint campaign was just as much fun for the pupils as it was for us organizers. Fair play and respect were taught in a playful way and will be taken into everyday life," emphasized André Blase, team leader of the mobile youth work of the city of Salzgitter.

The starting point for the joint events: the mobile youth work of the city of Salzgitter and the school social work of the vocational schools in Salzgitter, the Hauptschule Fredenberg and the Hauptschule an der Klunkau, the Gottfried-Linke-Realschule, the IGS and the Gymnasium am Fredenberg to network better and exchange ideas together.

The aim: to initiate projects in Fredenberg for the pupils where they can get to know each other better and have fun breaking down inhibitions and barriers with educational support.

The premiere was a table football and table tennis tournament in February 2025.

The soccer tournament took place for the third time.
