It is true that the City of Salzgitter does not work with any debt collection service. Outstanding debts to citizens are processed and collected exclusively by municipal employees. This is always done by letter sent by post.

The City of Salzgitter therefore recommends: If you receive such e-mails, you should either delete them immediately or contact the fines office of the City of Salzgitter (by e-mail at owistadt.salzgitterde or by telephone on 05341 / 839-3792) to clarify whether it is actually a claim from the City of Salzgitter.
