The integrated urban development concept (ISEK) for the city of Salzgitter is currently being updated.

Until Sunday, August 31, citizens have the opportunity to submit their own ideas and comments on the website www.salzgitter.de/isek2025, or to approve or reject existing ideas and comments.

A good 150 ideas have already been entered. Since the digital map went online at the end of May, almost 700 visitors have clicked on the website. Over 800 entries have been marked with a "like" for approval or "dislike" for rejection.

The ideas and comments placed relate to topics such as mobility, meeting places and public infrastructure as well as local recreation in various districts of the city of Salzgitter. The comments with the most approvals were about improving the conditions for cycling or the usability of local recreational facilities such as Salzgittersee.
