On Monday, December 1, school classes can experience the play "The Merchant of Words and the Sound of Words" (10.30 a.m. Kulturscheune, with registration): a play with music about the sound of words for 1st to 4th grade It is the second story with the popular lively market trader. Seven catchy songs are woven into the story.
There will be a musical St. Nicholas present on Friday, December 5 (7.30 pm, Kulturscheune) with Birth Control: After the D-LP/CD *Here and Now*(2016) and the LP/CD *Open Up* (2022), which was placed in the top 100 of the German LP charts, the German prog rock band, which has been around for well over 50 years, released a live LP again on April 2024 for Record Store Day`24 after almost 45 years and will be presenting the songs in Salzgitter!
The children's play "Pony in a Suitcase" on Sunday, December 7, at 3 p.m. (Kniestedter Kirche) is a belated gift from St. Nicholas. The story: "You never get the main prize!" says the aunt. But of course the children do win the pony! Now the pony has to be smuggled home, past hotel porters, conductors and the aunt. Because adults always know everything better. Don't they? - An adventurous journey begins, on which not only suitcases pile up, but also problems. Along for the ride are Aunt Charlyn, two dolls and a fat pony."

This winter, award-winning folk band Broom Bezzums once again conjure up a very different Christmas spirit. With a unique blend of this skillful, infectious music and their inimitably humorous and incisive announcements, presented in (almost) perfect German, the English-born duo are attracting a steadily growing fan base.
The musical treat comes on Wednesday, December 17 (8 pm Kniestedter Kirche) with Big Daddy Wilson: the American blues singer-songwriter returns to his musical origins.
