Program in the courtyard of Salder Castle

Versengold

"Versengold"

The big acts kick off on Friday, August 1, at 8 pm with "Versengold". The band's 20-year success story has made the six folk rockers a permanent fixture in German-language music. They will be stopping off in Salzgitter on their "Live" 2025 tour. The Bremen-based band exudes a freshness and dynamism that continues to generate storms of enthusiasm in front of a wide-ranging audience even after two decades.

Alex Christensen

Alex Christensen & Friends

DJ icon and pop visionary Alex Christensen takes to the Kultursommer stage on Saturday, August 2, at 8 pm. He enjoys absolute cult status. Under the title "Alex Christensen & Friends" 2025, the Hamburg native brings a high-quality and professional live DJ production to Salzgitter, which, thanks to its condensed form, focuses on the essence of a perfect DJ set that manages entirely without an orchestra and yet leaves nothing to be desired. At the heart of the production is Alex Christensen himself, who demands everything he needs from his DJ booth to deliver a simply brilliant show.

Max Mutzke, musician and author

Max Mutzke and band

On Sunday, August 3, at 8 p.m., Max Mutzke and his band will be coming to the Kultursommer. On closer inspection, Max Mutzke is more than just a single artist. This has to do with the charismatic singer and songwriter's incredible versatility and insatiable creative curiosity. Be it pop, rock, soul, funk or jazz - Max Mutzke has a thousand musical facets at his disposal, which he can easily fit under one of the hats that have become his trademark over the past decade and a half. Berlin-based New Zealand singer/songwriter Teresa Bergman adds yet another facet in the supporting program.

LaBrassBanda

"LaBrassBanda"

LaBrassBanda will finally be back at Kultursommer on Thursday, August 7, at 8 pm. The band is one of the most innovative bands in Bavaria and inspires with a unique mixture of brass, pop, techno and ska. They will be bringing their new program to Salzgitter. LaBrassBanda will be presenting the songs from their new album "LaBrassBanda Polka Party". The musicians have teamed up with rapper Roger Rekless to create an exciting fusion of Bavarian music and modern hip-hop. The audience can look forward to another band on this evening: the band "Makatumbe" will be the opening act. They put global dance and pop music into the mixer and present a lively stage presence alongside their musical skills.

Culcha Candela

"Culcha Candela"

Eagerly awaited by their fans in Salzgitter, "Culcha Candela" will take to the Kultursommer stage on Friday, August 8 at 8 pm. With over five million records sold, almost 35 precious metal awards and more than 1,500 live shows, the band may no longer be reinventing themselves, but they don't have to. Over the past few years, the Berlin cult collective has shown time and again that it can shake energetic club bangers and hits with attitude out of its musicians' colorful sleeves with playful ease - today as in the past.

Alex Parker

"Udo Jürgens ... unforgotten" with Alex Parker

Anyone who wants to experience the songs of Udo Jürgens live once again and enjoy a well-made big band sound can do so on Saturday, August 9, at 8 pm at the concert by pianist and singer Alex Parker. He is bringing the "Björn Vüllgraf Orchestra" with him, one of the best ensembles currently available - the "true Udo Jürgens feeling" is coming to Salzgitter. The musicians are all professionals who have already toured with Roger Cicero and Roland Kaiser, among others, and some of whom are permanent members of the NDR Big Band.

Thomas D & The KBCS

Thomas D & "The KBCS"

His fans can experience a completely different side of Thomas D on Sunday, August 10, at 8 pm at Kultursommer. He has found new companions in the musicians of the band "The KBCS". Together with them, new symbioses of lyrics, instruments and emotions are constantly being created on the joint musical journey of the "Fantastic Four" rapper. The audience quickly realizes: this is a different Thomas D. He has a mission, a message. His life and his successes have demanded a lot from him - time to grow up. It is not a farewell to the "Fantastic Four", but just an additional facet of the rapper.

Program in the mill garden of Salder Castle

The actual start of the Kultursommer Salzgitter takes place at the end of July in the mill garden of Salder Castle. Concerts, cabaret and theater can be experienced on the stage in the small and cozy venue.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream"

It starts here on Wednesday, July 23, at 8 pm with "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Based on Shakespeare, this is a comic play about love, lust and passion with comedian and Shakespeare interpreter Bernd Lafrenz and special guest Thomas Roth on the nyckelharpa. Lafrenz stages the well-known plot in a delicious one-person play. He switches back and forth between the characters at lightning speed, creating the narrow streets of Athens with a few wooden frames and plenty of imagination. Salzgitter is also experiencing a world premiere: Thomas Roth, an exceptional Nyckel harp player and crossover artist between musical worlds, is joining the production for the first time. His Swedish instrument, masterfully played, regularly fascinates the audience, singing, sobbing, mourning and rejoicing in a vividly tangible way.

Already sold out!"Comedy Ladies"

The "Comedy Ladies" are already sold out and will be back at the Kultursommer Salzgitter in the Mühlengarten on Thursday, July 24 at 8 pm: Comediennes offer excellent women's cabaret and top-class comedy in a mixed show. You can hear and see humor for him and her and everything in between. Two hours of pure fun, good humor and lots of laughs. The Braunschweig cabaret artist and singer-songwriter Vanessa Maurischat will accompany you through the evening in her usual direct manner.

However, it is possible to be put on a waiting list via the e-mail address kultur-veranstaltungenstadt.salzgitterde to perhaps still get a ticket. The staff of the City of Salzgitter's Department of Culture will contact those interested in tickets by 3 p.m. on July 24 to see if they are among the lucky ones who have managed to get hold of a ticket.
Les Brünettes

"Les Brünettes"

"Les Brünettes" are on an anniversary tour in 2025 and will also be coming to Kultursommer Salzgitter on Friday, July 25 at 8 pm. The a cappella band is celebrating a proud 15 years full of music, friendship and creative adventures. The concert promises an exciting musical journey through the highlights of their career, from their early beginnings to award-winning performances on international stages. With typical passion and energy, the musicians manage to enchant their audience.

Queenz of Piano

"Queenz of Piano"

In the almost infinite piano cosmos, the "Queenz of Piano" break down the boundaries between classical piano music and the electrifying atmosphere of a pop concert. On Saturday, July 26, at 8 pm, the two musicians will take to the Mühlgarten stage. With virtuoso precision and a deep musical understanding, the two pianists combine classical music with energetic beats, serious music with underground music and high culture with pop culture. Their unmistakable sound is created by combining piano music with synthesizers, spherical sounds and minimal beats - a symbiosis that lifts the piano concert into the 21st century.
