Kultursommer Salzgitter: Udo Jürgens ... unforgotten

Anyone who wants to experience the songs of Udo Jürgens live once again and enjoy a well-made big band sound can do so on Saturday, August 9, at 8 p.m., as part of the Kultursommer Salzgitter.

A "Kultursommer repeat offender" will then come to the courtyard of the Salder Castle Municipal Museum in Salzgitter-Salder: pianist and singer Alex Parker.

He is bringing the "Björn Vüllgraf Orchestra" with him for the first time - one of the best orchestras currently available - the "true Udo Jürgens feeling" is coming to Salzgitter. The musicians are all professionals who have already toured with Roger Cicero and Roland Kaiser, among others, and some of whom are permanent members of the NDR Big Band.

It will be more than just a Udo Jürgens tribute concert, as the original sheet music that was once written for Udo Jürgens and his musicians will be played. However, the charisma of Alex Parker, the stories about Udo Jürgens and the shared encounters, combined with the irrepressible enthusiasm of the 13-piece orchestra, will literally sweep the audience off their feet.
The varied program consists of songs from the artist's legendary "Es lebe das Laster" and "Jetzt oder nie" tours, which thrilled over 730,000 spectators in Germany, Austria and Switzerland between 2003 and 2006.

A special concert highlight for every lover of genuine, handmade music with a big band sound.
