The new recruits were welcomed by Sandy Hagenah, Head of Human Resources and Organization. "On behalf of our Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel, the administration and the city council, I am delighted that you are now part of the city administration team. You have chosen a meaningful profession. We all work for the common good and, as the city administration, we help to shape life together in our city," she emphasized.
For seven new recruits, the welcome was combined with their appointment as candidate city inspectors on revocation. They have opted for a career as a civil servant.
The junior staff are completing the following courses of study and training at the city:
- 10 trainee administrative assistants,
- 7 trainee municipal inspectors,
- 3 studying social work,
- 2 IT specialists,
- 1 gardener,
- 1 road warden
After successfully completing their training or studies, the junior staff have the option of being taken on as permanent employees or civil servants.
Applicants wanted for 2026
Applications for training and study places at the City of Salzgitter for August 1, 2026 are still open until August 31, 2025.
